We have achieved the Positive Parental Engagement Mark of Excellence, through our work with the Positive Regard Teaching School Alliance.

We have a fully qualified Thrive Practitioner at Southmere Primary Academy. Miss Crowther supports children and staff to manage emotional wellbeing in the Academy. We have also adopted the Thrive Approach into our everyday teaching and learning.

All children in school have taken part in the NSPCC ‘Speak Out, Stay Safe’ programme through class assemblies and workshops during the Autumn Term 2021. This programme has equipped children with the skills to recognise the signs of abuse and how to report it.
