At our academy, pupils are taught to develop an interest in learning Spanish in a way that is enjoyable and stimulating. We strive to stimulate and encourage children’s curiosity of language and develop their awareness of cultural differences. We provide opportunities to embed the skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking which is necessary to enable pupils to use and apply their Spanish learning in a variety of contexts and lay the foundation for future language teaching.

Our MFL curriculum is designed to progressively enhance children’s skills in Spanish through weekly sessions. Pupils acquire, use and apply a growing bank of vocabulary organised around topics. Pupils are encouraged and supported to develop their speaking and listening skills through conversational work, singing activities and games.
